❓ What exactly is Shine4Charity?
Shine4Charity is a community pressure washing challenge created by My Local Cleaner Ltd.
We’re aiming to complete 1,000 charity pressure washing jobs — and for each one, we donate 100% of the labour fee to a charity chosen by the customer.
It’s our way of using what we already do best — cleaning driveways and patios — to raise money and awareness for good causes across Essex and beyond.
💷 Where does the money go?
For every Shine4Charity job, the customer chooses a registered charity.
Once the job is complete, they donate the full amount directly to that charity.
We then share a donation screenshot in our Donation Gallery for transparency (with any private info blurred).
Running costs like fuel, materials, and equipment are covered through our normal paid work and sponsors — not from the donation money.
🧾 How can I book a charity job?
Simply head over to www.mylocalcleanerltd.co.uk and book your pressure washing service.
When we confirm your booking, we’ll ask which charity you’d like to support.
Only pressure washing jobs are part of the Shine4Charity challenge.
Our other services — window cleaning, gutter clearing, render cleaning, and roof cleaning — are standard paid work that help fund the challenge.
🏠 What areas do you cover?
We’re based in Witham, Essex, and cover most of the surrounding towns including:
Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester, Maldon, Halstead, Tiptree, and Great Dunmow.
We’ll be expanding the challenge over Essex and further as it grows — if you’re slightly outside these areas, still get in touch!
💡 Can I nominate a charity?
Because the customer chooses the charity, public nominations aren’t how we select jobs.
But you can still help by commenting on our latest YouTube video to tag or mention charities you’d love to see featured — it helps raise awareness and sometimes inspires customers to choose them!

🤝 How can a business get involved or sponsor a job?
Sponsorship helps us cover costs such as travel, fuel, and materials so that 100% of each customer’s fee can go straight to their chosen charity.
Businesses can sponsor individual jobs or ongoing parts of the challenge.

🎥 Will my job be filmed?
Yes! Every Shine4Charity job is filmed and edited for our YouTube and social media channels by Dan from DCH-Valeting.co.uk he is powering the media side while MLC power the cleaning side.
You’ll get a link once your video is live — and we’d love you to share it on your socials to help spread awareness for your chosen charity.

We’ll simply reschedule! Outdoor cleaning depends on the weather, so we’ll keep in touch and move your job to the next available dry day.

- Shine4Charity is our community project — pressure washing jobs where the labour fee is donated.
- My Local Cleaner Ltd is our main business, providing everyday services like window cleaning, gutter clearing, and roof cleaning.
Both are run by us (Bill & Sam), and together they help us keep the challenge growing.
